Google Desktop Search Security Hole
"Researchers at Rice University have discovered... a flaw in the beta version of Google's Desktop Search product that could allow third parties to access users' search result summaries, providing a sneak peek at part of the content of personal files... The researchers labelled the glitch as "serious"...Google was notified of the flaw and has fixed it in an update that is currently being rolled out through an auto-update feature, the company said Monday."
Make sure that your desktop search tool is up-to-date. This is the reason why I never like the idea of having everything indexed, especially personal info. It's likely that there's always holes in program and it's just a matter of time for people to find those holes.
