People testing new cell phone with 911
It seems that a lot of people were getting cell phones as Christmas presents; and a lot of them in the US were stupid enough to dial "911" just to test out their new phone, just because it's the first number that came to their mind." 'Our phones start exploding with hang-ups (on Christmas),' said CHP Sgt... 'The operator says, 'You've reached the CHP, and what is your emergency?' Then 'click.' Or they'll say, 'I'm just testing out my cell phone.' "
